Rancang Bangun Aplikasi Pendukung pada Sistem Pengukuran Pelebaran Rongga Dada Pasien Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronis
Abstract
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is an inflammation of the lungs that
causes persistent airflow limitation. Spirometry examination is a standard examination used
for the diagnosis of COPD. A research group of students from the University of North
Sumatra has created an alternative diagnostic test for the severity of COPD patients' disease
by utilizing one of the physical symptoms of COPD patients, namely the barrel chest or
barrel-shaped chest cavity. This study resulted in a chest cavity widening measurement
system consisting of a measuring device that aims to measure the diameter of the chest
cavity in COPD patients. However, these measuring instruments are not designed to
determine the severity of a patient's disease. Therefore, a supporting application is needed
that can process the diameter of the chest cavity and other supporting data to be able to
determine the severity of COPD patients' disease. In this study, a supporting application
was built to facilitate inspection procedures. Supporting applications are designed using the
Flutter framework and integrated with a decision tree model. The result of this study is to
design a supporting application that can be used to facilitate the procedure for examining
the chest cavity dilation measurement system.
