The aim of this study was to analyze the positive impact of “diuwongke” on agriculture employees’ positive affect in Indonesia. “Diuwongke” is a Javanese-Indonesian term for employees’ perception toward their leader treating them with respect and dignity at work. Previous research has shown that a superior-subordinate relationship in which employees feel valued and treated as humans increases positive feelings toward their work and predicts their performance. Data were collected from 368 Indonesian employees working in one of the agriculture companies in Indonesia, using Diuwongke Scale along with Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS). The result shows that “diuwongke” is positively related to positive affect with significant correlations (r = 0.567, p <.05 ), and the impact of “diuwongke” for positive affect is 32.1%.en_US
