dc.description.abstractHuman Human development is a process of change that aims to achieve a better, equitable, competitive, advanced and prosperous society. This study aims to analyze the effect of Life Expectancy, Expected Years of Schooling, Expenditure per Capita and Poverty Level on the Human Development Index in North Sumatra Province in 2019-2022. The human development index is used as a dependent variable that reflects the level of human development in the region. The results of this study indicate a simultaneous significant influence between the variables of life expectancy, school expectancy, per capita expenditure, and poverty level on the human development index Y = 0.271 X₁ +0.249 X₂ + 0.612 X₃ - 0.182 Z + 0.035. The factor that most influences the human development index is per capita expenditure. The simultaneous effect is 96.5% and the remaining 0.035% is explained by other variables not included in the study.en_US
