Perencanaan Sistem Pemeliharaan Mesin Screw Press Menggunakan Metode Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
Abstract
PT. Sisirau is a company that process oil palm fruit into Crude Palm Oil (CPO)
and palm kernel with a capacity of 30 tons/hour. PT. Sisirau has 3 screw press
machines to extract crude oil from palm fruit fiber. The screw press machine are
the machine that have the highest failure rate on the production floor of PT. Sisirau
with an operating life of 26 years for machine II and III. The frequency of the
failures can be caused by reduced component lifetime which is influenced by the
usage of the machine and the machine maintenance system applied. The
maintenance system that runs on PT. Sisirau is corrective maintenance where when
the machine is damaged, causing large repair costs and long repair times.
Therefore, research was conducted using the Reliability Centered Maintenance
method to identify damage and repair data, causes and patterns of failure of the
screw press machine so that an effective and efficient maintenance system can be
made. The result of this study is a component maintenance interval schedule based
on MTTF values, FMEA results of machine components that have the highest RPN
value, worm screw components with a value of 288. The Logic Tree Analysis results
are engine component damage modes which are grouped into outage problem
categories of 57.16%, economic problems of 14.28%, and hidden failure of 28.56%.
The results of the selection of treatment actions were time directed with a
percentage of 28.57%, condition directed by 57.14%, and failure finding by
14.29%. And the cost of maintenance using the RCM method was reduced from the
initial Rp. 611,890,000 using the corrective maintenance method to Rp.
493,980,010 using the RCM method with a difference of Rp. 117,909,990, which is
a decrease in maintenance costs by 19.26%.
