Pengaruh Pengambilan Risiko terhadap Voluntary Turnover Intention Pada Karyawan Generasi Milenial di Medan

Abstract

Risk taking is the courage of an individual to take risks. Risk taking has an influence on voluntary turnover intention. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of risk taking on voluntary turnover intention in the millennial generation in Medan. The approach used in this research is a quantitative using the Brief Sensation Seeking Scale-Indonesia (BSSS-I) scale which was adapted from Bagaskara (2021) and the voluntary turnover intention scale which was constructed based on the aspect of intention by Fishbein and Ajzen (1975). The sampling technique in this study used convenience sampling. The sample in this study were 349 millennial generation employees in Medan. Data collection techniques were carried out using a questionnaire in the form of a google form. The analysis technique used in this study is simple linear regression. Based on the results of the hypothesis testing, the F value was 1077.533 with a significance of 0.000 (p <0.01) the R Square value was 0.756 and the R value was 0.869. The results of the study show that the hypothesis is accepted, meaning that there is an influence of risk taking on voluntary turnover intention in millennial generation employees in Medan. Risk taking affects voluntary turnover intention by 75.6% and the remaining 24.4% is influenced by other factors
