Analisis Spasial Tingkat Kekritisan Lahan di Daerah Aliran Sungai Percut Provinsi Sumatera Utara
Abstract
Conversion of forest to other land uses occurs due to the increasing demand for land. Conversion of forest land into other uses is one of the causes of the emergence of critical land Information on spatial distribution in a watershed (DAS) is essential to preserve the watershed and its mitigation efforts. This study aims to analyze the spatial distribution of critical land in the Percut watershed and identify mitigation efforts. Spatial analysis was carried out using a weighting and scoring method based on the Regulation of the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia Number: P.32/MENHUT-II/2009. The results showed that the percentage of land with a critical, critical, and somewhat critical level reached 18.65% or 7.748.60 hectares. This area is the main priority in mitigating critical land. Mitigation of critical land is carried out by considering land cover conditions and general directions for sail and water conservation techniques. The basis for determining the priority of critical land mitigation is to consider the land critically class, which is prioritized on moderately critical, critical, and very critical land.
