dc.description.abstractCV. Era Baru Panel is a manufacturing company engaged in the processing of iron plates into several product components with final products such as flannel boxes, Guardrail , and PJU (Public Street Lighting) poles. This company has a common problem, namely consumer orders are not fulfilled within the specified time. This general problem is caused by problems with the layout of the production floor, namely there is backtracking , cross movement , and the distance between stations is too far. This problem can be solved by improving the layout of the production floor using the Group Technology Layout (GTL) and the CORELAP Algorithm. This study aims to design a production floor layout that can minimize the total moment of movement and material handling costs, with a line efficiency rate above 75%. The results of this study indicate a decrease in the total moment of displacement on the production floor from 112,094 m/month to 89,390 m/month using the Group Technology Layout and 100,114 m/month using the CORELAP Algorithm. Material Handling costs on the production floor also decreased from Rp. 22,418,800/month to Rp 17,878,000/month using the Group Technology Layout and Rp 22,022,800/month using the CORELAP Algorithm. By comparing the total moments of movement and material handling costs in the actual layout , the Group Technology Layout layout , and the CORELAP Algorithm layout , the layout using the Group Technology Layout is the chosen proposed layout . The Line Efficiency Rate calculation for the selected proposed layout is 79.59%, so it can be said to be an efficient production floor layout.en_US
