| dc.description.abstract | Indonesia is one of the largest maritime countries where there are various types of vegetation, including mangrove forests. Since the last decade, biodiversity and carbon potential in Indonesian mangrove forests have been disturbed and degraded continuously, including mangrove forests in Lubuk Kertang Village. The rehabilitation program carried out in 2016 using seedling on abandoned ponds in Lubuk Kertang Village is expected to be able to restore forest functions.The pupose of this study was to evaluate the diversity of mangrove species, structure and cmposicompositione Lubuk Kertang mangrove forest rehabilitation area and to measure the total carbon stock of rehabilitated mangrove. Restoration mangrove forest for carbon stock which consists of three carbon components, namely tree biomass, soil biomass, and dead wood. Sampling and measurement of vegetation using the census method. Meanwhile, taking soil and dead wood samples by making transects along the 125 m length of 2 transects, each transect consisting of 6 plots. Eight species were found in the mangrove forest rehabilitation area, namely Avicennia marina, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Excoecaria agallocha, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora stylosa, Scyphiphora hydrophylacea, Sonneratia alba. The total value of the total vegetation carbon stock in the rehabilitation area was59.33 Mg/ha, the average carbon in the soil is 1086.82 Mg/ha, in the wood sample the average is 1.73 Mg/ha. | en_US |
