Pengalaman Keagamaan pada Lansia yang Mengikuti Perkumpulan Keagamaan USINDAH

Abstract

This research is a research using a qualitative phenomenological approach which aims to see a description of the religious experiences experienced by the elderly who attend USINDAH religious associations. The research sample consisted of 3 elderly people using a purposive sampling technique. The subjects in the study had participated in USINDAH religious associations for a long time and were quite involved in every activity in these religious associations. The data collection process was carried out by interview and observation methods. The data obtained in this study were analyzed using the qualitative data analysis method of Miles and Huberman. The results of this study indicate that the three subjects generally experience religious experiences based on the characteristics expressed by Compton and Hoffman. The experiences experienced by the three subjects are of course different from one another because religious experience is an individual experience. These experiences also provide changes in the feelings, thoughts and actions of the subject. In addition, the results of this study also showed that the religious experiences experienced by the subjects had an impact on dealing with anxiety when entering the elderly, namely those aged 60 years and over in this study were Christians.
