Uji Validitas Konkuren Dimensi Tangguh dan Arif Pada Alat Ukur USU BINTANG Inventory Versi 2.0. dengan Skala GRIT Pendek Sebagai Kriteria

Abstract

This research was conducted to add to the literature regarding the validity and other psychometric characteristics of the USU BINTANG Inventory version 2.0. instrument. The main objective of this study is to determine the concurrent validity of the USU BINTANG Inventory's "Tangguh and Arif" dimension with the short GRIT scale as a comparison measure, where GRIT has a construct that almost resembles the "Tangguh dan Arif" dimension. The focus of this study is on the two attributes that are measured and correlated so as to obtain the results of the research objectives. This research is a descriptive and correlational quantitative type, with sample subjects consisting of 272 USU Bachelor/Associate’s degree students from the class of 2022. The results of the data analysis of this study show very high reliability in the "Tangguh dan Arif" dimension instrument, namely α=0.852. The results of the concurrent validity test showed a strong positive correlation between the two measurement tools, with a coefficient value of r=0.682. This study concluded that the USU BINTANG Inventory version 2.0. instrument has a strong level of validity in terms of concurrent validity, so that its validity can be accounted for in its use in a study.
