dc.description.abstract | PT. Mutiara Mukti Farma is a pharmaceutical industry engaged in the production
of medicines. This research was conducted on factory machines that produce
tablet-type drugs. The current maintenance policy is corrective maintenance
where repairs will only be carried out if a machine is damaged, this results in
sudden machine damage and causes machine reliability to decrease accompanied
by large machine downtime resulting in losses in terms of time and costs due to
delays in the production process. The purpose of this study is to propose
improvements to the maintenance system through the application of preventive
maintenance on coating film machines using the Reliability Centered
Maintenance and Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis methods with the
expected output being able to prevent engine damage so that the reliability of the
machine is maintained and obtain repair costs. optimal based on the treatment
interval obtained. The critical components obtained in the coating film machine
as the machine with the greatest frequency of damage are the electric motor
components and the spray nozzle with a preventive maintenance policy of 4,
namely 1 scheduled discard task, namely the electric motor components that die
with maintenance intervals of 107.06 days once and 3 Scheduled restoration task,
that is, the electric motor component emits foreign sounds with a maintenance
interval of 48.33 days and the spray nozzle component with a maintenance
interval of 22.37 days. The application of preventive maintenance with the RCM
method produces optimal maintenance costs to be incurred, namely Rp.
51,361,532,925. By comparing it with the cost of losses caused by damage to the
machine, a difference of Rp. 105,385,908,509 is obtained. | en_US |
