dc.description.abstract | This research is a mediation regression study that aims to determine the effect of religiosity on psychological well-being mediated by self-adjustment in first-year overseas students. The research hypothesis is that there is a positive and significant influence between religiosity and psychological well-being in first-year overseas students, there is a positive and significant influence between religiosity and self-adjustment to first-year overseas students, there is a positive and significant influence between self-adjustment and psychological well-being in year overseas students first, and there is a positive and significant influence between religiosity and psychological well-being which is mediated by self-adjustment in first-year overseas students. The population of this study were first year overseas students in the age range of 18-21 years.
The research sample was 104 first year overseas students. The sampling technique used is convenience sampling. The data obtained in this study were processed using Mediated Multiple Regression analysis. The measurement tools used are the psychological well-being scale, the religiosity scale, and the self-adjustment scale compiled by the researcher.
The results showed that there was a significant positive effect between religiosity and psychological well-being mediated by self-adjustment in first-year overseas students. The results of the hypothesis test showed 0.0000038 <0.05 (p<0.05) with religiosity and self-adjustment having an effect of 70.1% on the psychological well-being of first-year overseas students. The results of this study indicate that the higher the religiosity and individual adjustment, the higher the level of psychological well-being.
The results of additional analysis show that age, ethnicity, and gender of individuals affect the level of psychological well-being and that the research respondents in this study are Muslims | en_US |
