dc.description.abstract | This study aims to describe hardiness in University of North Sumatra students who joining “Kampus Mengajar”. Hardiness is an attitude that can help individuals to survive when experiencing problems or pressures that cause stress through control, commitment, and challenges. Hardiness is measured using a scale compiled based on Maddi's theory (2002) which consists of 3 aspects, namely; commitment, control, challenge, with a total of 31 items. The subjects involved in this study were 144 students of the University of North Sumatra who joining “Kampus Mengajar” with probability sampling techniques with simple random sampling methods. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics by categorizing subjects into 3 categories, namely high, medium, and low. The results showed that as many as 15.3% were in the low category, 70.1% were in the medium category and 14.6% were in the high category. Based on these results, it was concluded that most students of the University of North Sumatra who attended the teaching campus had hardiness classified as medium category. | en_US |
