Bentuk Perilaku Bullying Berdasarkan Lokasi di Sekolah
Abstract
Based on news published by the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) on February 10, 2020, it shows that school bullying cases that occur in Indonesia top the list of public complaints to KPAI in the education sector. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of bullying behavior based on its form and overall bullying behavior in terms of school location based on the victim's perspective. This research design is in the form of distributing questionnaires containing several questions and distributed by high school students in Medan City. The sampling technique used convenience sampling technique, where the sample was taken based on the availability of respondents with a total sample of 324 students. The results of this study found that there are six locations in the school environment that are prone to bullying behavior, in the canteen, classroom, bathroom, playground, school corridor, and school bus. Bullying behavior in terms of several locations at school has a low category and there is no significant difference in bullying behavior in one location with another location. The most frequent location for bullying behavior, verbal bullying, and cyberbullying was in the canteen. Physical bullying behavior most often occurs in the bathroom, and indirect bullying behavior most often occurs in the classroom and school bus. It is recommended that the school and related parties take care of the facilities and infrastructure in the school with the aim of preventing bullying behavior from occurring in certain locations.
