Pra-Rancangan Pabrik Pembuatan Selulosa Asetat dari Pelepah Kelapa Sawit dengan Kapasitas 8.000 Ton/Tahun dan Tugas Khusus Rancangan Keteknikan Reaktor Asetilasi
Abstract
The oil palm frond is one of the by-products of oil palm plantations that
has the potential to be used for various applications but has not been utilized
optimally. Palm fronds are one of the leading sources of cellulose that can be used
as the raw material for cellulose acetate. Cellulose acetate could be used as the
feedstock for such industries as the textile industry, cigarettes, and medicine
industries. Cellulose acetate needs are increasing every year. Therefore, in order
to meet the need for cellulose acetate, there is a need to increase the production of
cellulose acetate in Indonesia.
The cellulose acetate plant is planned to produce with a production
capacity of 8.000 tons per year and operate for 300 days a year. The number of
employees is 165, with the form of business entity is a limited liability company
and a line and staff organizational structure. The factory location is planned to be
established in Koto Gasib District, Siak Regency, Riau Province, Indonesia with
an area of 17,290 m2 .
The results of the pre-design economic analysis of the cellulose acetate
manufacturing plant from palm frond raw materials are:
Total Investment Capital = Rp. 655.888.816.139
Total Production Cost per Year = Rp. 732.155.567.221
Product Selling Price per Year = Rp. 1.056.599.989.434
Net profit = Rp. 215.660.540.772
Profit Margin (PM) = 30,71 %
Break Even Point (BEP) = 30,10 %
Return On Investment (ROI) = 32,88%
Pay Out Time (POT) = 3,041 Years
Return On Network (RON) = 54,80 %
Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 38,79 %
From the results of economic analysis, it can be concluded that a predesigned
factory for manufacturing cellulose acetate from palm frond raw
materials with a capacity of 8.000 tons per year is feasible to be establish.
