| dc.description.abstract | Anxiety about the future is a universal psychological phenomenon, including in Indonesia and other countries. Future anxiety is an implied condition that should be measured by a scale appropriate for each stage and has appropriate psychometric significance. However, there is no scale measuring future anxiety constructed for students in Indonesia even though cultural differences can affect psychological processes. An accurate and consistent future anxiety scale is needed in order to truly be able to accurately measure future anxiety constructs and reliable measurement results. Future anxiety scale with good psychometric standards it will be useful to know the degree of future anxiety of students as material for consideration of student psychological interventions. This study intends to construct and evaluate a psychometric measuring instrument for future anxiety for university students in Indonesia. The Skala Kecemasan Masa Depan which has been compiled consists of 12 items with 5 items on the cognitive dimension and 7 items on the dimensions of attitude and behavior having outer loadings value above 0.7 which means this scale has a good convergent validity. Based on the results of the reliability coefficient value, it was found that this instrument has a Cronbach alpha of 0.788, which means that the items on this scale consistently measure students' future anxiety. | en_US |
