The research result indicates that the correlation between nurses' knowledge of supervision and their ability in documenting nursing care in Murni Tegch Hospital Medan is p-value (0.004) a (0.05). Conclusion This result is in line with the previous research results such as those of Jumali and Usman (2018)'s who have found a correlation between nurses' knowledge and nursing documentation. It can be assumed that if someone has knowledge of how important the supervision conducted by the ward head is, the nursing care can be documented easily by the nurse. Suggestion. By increasing the nurses' knowledge of supervision, it is expected that the nurses can explain that supervision is important to be conducted by the ward head since it is the part of ward head's management function. When the supervision is conducted by the ward head, he can directly teach or guide the nurses, and increase the nurses" knowledge in documenting the nursing care through training and education so they are able to document the nursing care well.
