A positive work environment can influence, stimulate, and motivate one to work optimally and professionally that job satisfaction becomes achievable. Job dissatisfaction has an impact on the decrease in job motivation, and loyalty, and it leads to a high number of employee turnover as well as employee absence.
The research aims to identify the correlation between working environment and nurses' job satisfaction in the Inpatient Rooms of RSUD. dr. Fauziah Bireuen. This research employs cross-sectional method, collects data from May 2023, and applies random sampling technique to select 138 nurses in the Inpatient Rooms of RSUD.
dr. Fauziah Bireue as the sample.
The result indicates that based on the good work environment, of 83 respondents, 54 (65.1%) nurses feel satisfied with their job and 29 (34.9%) nurses feel dissatisfied with their job. Meanwhile, based on the poor work environment, of 55 respondents, 23 nurses feel satisfied with their job and 32 nurses feel satisfied with their job. The result of the chi-square test indicates p-value=0.007 < 0.05 meaning that there is a correlation between working environment and nurses 'job satisfaction in the inpatient rooms.
The research concludes that there is a significant correlation between working environment and nurses' job satisfaction in the Inpatient Rooms of RSUD. dr. Fauziah Bireuen. It is recommended that the nurses who work in the inpatient rooms of RSUD. dr. Fauziah Bireuen actively involve in maintaining a positive work environment in their organization.
