Penentuan Lokasi Distribusi Baru pada Distributor Ban Mobil
Abstract
Four-wheeled vehicles are commonly used in the industrial sector which is growing
rapidly. Among the types of motorized vehicles in Indonesia, the number of cars
reached 15.69% - 15.81% of the total types of motorized vehicles. As time goes by,
the use of four-wheeled vehicles is increasing which causes the demand for tires to
also increase. CV. Banindo Perkasa is the sole distributor of tires with the
trademark DUNLOP. CV. Banindo Perkasa currently only has one distribution
location that is used to store and serve ban requests for the North Sumatra region.
The increase in tires which is increasing every year is not matched by the
distribution capacity of CV. Banindo Perkasa which did not increase, so that
currently CV. Banindo Perkasa is no longer able to accommodate the demand. CV.
Banindo Perkasa plans to build a new distribution location with the hope of being
able to accommodate demand loads, expand the range of delivery areas and
minimize transportation costs. Determination of alternative locations for new
distribution locations is carried out using the center of gravity method and an
analytic hierarchy process. The selected new distribution location is located in
Medan Tuntungan District, Medan City, North Sumatra.
