dc.description.abstractThe logistics system has an important role for pharmaceutical companies, because the logistics system regulates the flow of materials from receiving materials to shipping finished goods. The company gets customer complaints because the number of orders does not match and the distribution process is slow. To improve business processes in companies to be efficient, pharmaceutical companies need to apply business process engineering. This research was developed using the Business Process Reengineering method to achieve efficient business process improvements. IDEF0 is used to map and analyze logistics systems through ICOM (Input, Control, Output and Mechanism) functions and to design new logistics system business processes. The results of this study are the design of new business processes through strategies obtained from the analysis of the problems that occur. To test the effectiveness of the proposed improvement process, a simulation was carried out using the iGrafx software. The results of the research simulation show an increase in throughput efficiency from 24.28% in the as-is model to 41.19%en_US
