dc.description.abstract | Worship at the HKBP church cannot be separated from singing. Congregational singing is an important element in the continuity of worship because it is believed to be a way for the congregation to express gratitude and respect to God, as well as a form of regret for sins and transgressions committed. The technique of singing congregational songs is considered important in worship, so that the service can take place solemnly and solemnly. The purpose of this research is to find out how the congregation sings the Buku Ende Huria and the mistakes that occur in singing it and to find out what are the causative factors of the mistakes in singing the congregational hymns so that they can find solutions and learning models for congregational singing at the HKBP church. The research was conducted in 10 HKBP churches divided into different regions, the Medan city area: HKBP Tanjung Sari church, Pardomuan Resort Medan Selatan church, HKBP Karya Pembangunan church, HKBP Rogate Tanjung Raya church, Tanjung Mulia HKBP church. Other areas include: HKBP Hataran Jawa church located in Kec. Tanah Jawa, Kab. Simalungun, HKBP Kampung Baru church located in the district Asahan, the HKBP Dolok Nauli II church in the district Toba Samosir, and two churches located in the district North Tapanuli, namely: the Batu Manumpak HKBP church, and the Simanungkalit Parjulu HKBP church. The research was conducted from June 2022 to December 2022. The results showed that there were at least 13 errors in singing congregational songs at 10 HKBP churches. Singing with bad posture, improper articulation, bad phrasing technique, bad intonation, wrong tempo and rhythm, disharmony between the organist and the congregation, singing not in accordance with the notation, changing the basic tone of the song, and not understand the interpretation of each song. | en_US |
