dc.description.abstract | Background: Shofar is one of the wind instruments made of ram horns that exist
in the territory of Israel and was previously used by the Israelites as a symbol when

interested in raising this matter to be used as research which of course has a
formulation of the problem regarding the form, structure, acculturation of how the
Shofar entered the GBI Sumatra Resort Church and what the function and meaning
of music is using the shofar. In this case the author also conducts qualitative
research methods in exploring the function and meaning of the shofar due to
building a view of the things that are being examined in detail. The author also
conducts data analysis in conducting this research which is intended to be able to
find data obtained from participants, interviews, observations and documentation.
