Prarancangan Pabrik Pembuatan Etilen Diklorida dari Etilen dan Klorin dengan Metode Direct Chlorination dengan Kapasitas 22.000 Ton/Tahun (Tugas Khusus Rancangan Keteknikan Detail Separator)
Abstract
Preliminary plant design production of ethylene dichloride from ethylene
and chlorine with direct chlorination method has a production capacity 20.000
tons/year and operates for 330 days a year. The amount of ethylene and chlorine
required to achieve annual product capacity is 892.640 kg/hour and 2,256.167
kg/hour respectively.
The specific task that was completed is the detailed engineering design of a
separator for the separation of ethylene dichloride. The designed separator is a
horizontal separator with a diameter of 3 ft, a length of 17.5 ft, a wall thickness of
3/16 in and uses a horizontal style 4CA mist eliminator pad with a diameter of 0.75
ft.
The Preliminary plant design production of ethylene dichloride from
ethylene and chlorine with direct chlorination method is planned to be built in
Cilegon City, Banten Province, with a total factory area of 11,710 m2. The water
demand for this factory is supplied from the Kali Berung River as much as 23,168
kg/hour. The planned company organizational form is a Limited Liability Company
(PT) with a line and staff organizational structure, and a total of 150 employees.
The results of the economic analysis on this factory design are as follows:
1. Capital Invesment (CI) = Rp 1.124.451.270.172
2. Total Cost (TC) = Rp 546.194.936.022
3. Profit Margin (PM) = 47,834 %
4. Break Even Point (BEP) = 37,147 %
5. Return on Invesment (ROI) = 32,764 %
6. Pay Out Time (POT) = 3 year 1 month
7. Return On Network (RON) = 54,607%
8. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 20,770 %
Based on the results of the economic analysis, it can be concluded that the
plant for the manufacture of ethylene dichloride from ethylene and chlorine by
direct chlorination process is feasible to establish.
