Uncontrolled community plantations with limited land can affect the environmental quality of a cartel area. The emergence of slums (uninhabitable) with various fundamental problems such as building irregularities, building density, uninhabitable buildings, damage to environmental roads, and poor sanitation can complexly damage the quality of the surrounding environment. Based on the Decree of the Mayor of Lhokseumawe, fishermen employees of PuSong Lama are one of the slum areas in Lhokseumawe City. This study aims to measure the level of environmental quality carried by fishermen so that they can identify handling strategies/plans to improve the quality of the handling environment. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive research method. The learning variables are based on three aspects: aspects of shopping buildings, aspects of environmental accessibility, and aspects of utilities. Determination of the weight of the assessment in this study refers to the Minister of PUPR No. 14/PRT/M/2018. The results showed the environmental quality of fishermen in Dusun Pasi in the aspect of residential buildings, namely the irregularity of residential buildings at 63%, the density of residential buildings at 54%, and the feasibility of residential buildings at 50%. Aspects of environmental accessibility through the road conditions of the battle environment which suffered 55% damage. Whereas in terms of environmental utilities, namely clean water management systems that are safe 55%, wastewater management systems that do not comply with technical standards 65%, and waste management systems that do not comply with technical standards 65%. These results indicate that the quality of the environment for fishermen in Dusun Pasi has decreased with inadequate facilities and infrastructure. Appropriate management strategies/plans in an effort to improve environmental quality can be in the form of restoration, rebuilding, and community empowerment toward clean and healthy living behaviors.
