Routing is a process of sending packets or information from source to destination. Routing that is often used is unicast routing, from one source to one destination. However, many requests are sometimes unlimited to serve multiple destinations, so another type of routing is needed, such as multicast routing, which can serve multiple destinations with only one source so that a collection of destinations to get the same request at the same time and the same data is called the group. shared on multicast routing. This study discusses the problem of shared groups where data will be shared by multicast routing sessions using wavelength allocation to help reduce or save on links by offering an integer linear programming model formulation to minimize link costs on wavelengths. In this case the model offered is to minimize unlimited or multiple links. The update from this uses a hier- archical structure with wavelength conversions within the offered offerings. The introduction of the wavelength conversion enables paths to be routed using differ- ent wavelengths along an optical link. In this case it can eliminate the wavelength continuity constraint. This allows for a wider choice of paths and therefore, the possibility of finding a more efficient path that saves or minimizes the link cost at wavelength.en_US
