dc.description.abstractThis research aims to analyze the development strategies of service centers in the city of Pematang Siantar, comparing the compatibility of service centers between the Regional Spatial Plan with the analytical results, and analyzing the influence of service center development on the regional development of the Pematang Siantar city. The research methodology used is a quantitative descriptive method employing techniques of Schalogram Analysis, Marshall's Centralizaty Index, Spatial Analysis, Gravity Interaction Analysis, and the Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. The research findings conclude that Siantar Barat District, with order I, is designated as the City Service Center, where the strongest regional interaction occurs with Siantar Sitalasari District. The service centers designated in the Regional Spatial Plan of Pematang Siantar city are no longer suitable with the analystical result. Additionally, the development of service centers has a positive impact on the regional development of the Pematang Siantar city.en_US
