dc.description.abstract | The quality of drinking water that is safe and suitable for consumption is an important factor in maintaining public health. Mineral Water Vending Machines have become a popular solution for providing quick and easy access to quality drinking water. However, it is important to continuously monitor the quality of the air produced by these machines. This study aims to develop a drinking water quality monitoring system for a Mineral Water Vending Machine that uses solar power as the main energy source so that the machine can operate independently and is environmentally friendly. This system is equipped with TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), pH, and temperature sensors to monitor key parameters in drinking water. TDS sensors are used to measure total dissolved solids in the air, which can indicate the presence of minerals or contaminants in the air. The pH sensor is used to measure the acidity or alkalinity of the air, while the temperature sensor is used to measure the air temperature. The sensors are placed in the vending machine's water distribution lines. The data collected by the TDS, pH and temperature sensors is sent to the controller unit which is connected to the central server via a wireless communication module. TDS, pH and temperature are calibrated using a TDS meter, pH meter and thermometer. By producing an average that complies with the provisions of drinking water standards. TDS has an average of 43.3 ppm, pH has an average of 43.3, and Temperature has an average of 28.6°C. By implementing a water quality monitoring system in a solar-based Mineral Water Vending Machine with TDS, pH, and temperature sensors, it is expected to increase public confidence in the drinking water produced by this machine. | en_US |
