dc.description.abstract | This research is about the form and use of gairaigo in Mairimashita! Iruma-Kun by Osamu Nishi. The purpose of this study is to explain the form and use of gairago. The theories used in this research are sociolinguistic theory, gairaigo theory, and context linguistic theory. The method in this research is library research and descriptive method. The results of research on Mairimashita! Iruma-kun by Osamu Nishi found the type of word gairaigo which has a different type of word from a word originating from a foreign language. The word comes from a foreign language and belongs to the noun type. The word is changed to gairago and belongs to a noun type, for example: team, gauge, class, level, camera, fan letter, fan, present, stage, bubble, pace, and anti. As for words from foreign languages, which are included in the type of adjective words that experience changes in the type of words to become nouns in gairaigo. For example: game over and, star. In addition, words from foreign languages which are types of verbs that experience changes in the types of words to become nouns in gairaigo. For example: I like you, and checking. The use of gairaigo in the novel is based on several things, namely advances in Western technology. The relationship between characters does not refer to a hierarchy, so it seems familiar.
