dc.description.abstract | Chocolate fruit is one type of plant that has become an important commodity in the agricultural industry. One source of vegetable oil is chocolate oil derived from chocolate beans, with an oil content of 54–58% which is composed of saturated glyceride compounds, oleopalmitin, oleopalmitostearin, oleodistearin, palmitodiolein, triolein, and Stearodiolein. Water content is a very important physical property and is very concerned by buyers. In addition to greatly affecting yield, the moisture content affects the resistance of cocoa beans to damage, especially during warehousing and transportation. . In this study, an arduino microcontroller was used as the brain of the system and a capacitive sensor as a means of detecting water content in brown seeds. The working system on this tool is a system for measuring water content using a capacitive sensor. At this measurement the sensor reads with the conversion of the voltage value, then converted to an analog value. The analog value is then converted into the moisture content value. Then the measurement results are displayed in the form of an LCD. On the use of this tool. The tool is turned on using a 12 volt adapter power supply. On the LCD display, the word start will be displayed, which means that the system can be used. From the results of measurements were carried out on 3 samples that weighed 100 ounces each with different levels of moisture content. The test results on sample 1 are with a water content level of 15% water, sample 2 with a water content level of 28%, and sample 3 with a water content level of 54%. In this test, the system can be run properly, and can already be implemented. | en_US |
