The objective of the research is to find out seniors behavior in searching for information in the Architecture Study Program, Universitas Sumatera Utara. The research employs descriptive quantitative method. The population is the seniors in the Architecture Study Program, USU, in the academic year of 2019, and 118 of them serve as the samples, taken by using non-probability sampling or accidental sampling technique. The data are gathered by distributing questionnaires. The result of the research shows that all of the respondents undergo a series of starting activity (at the mean value of 4.43) which indicates that they set the topic, discuss with instructors, librarians, and friends, and assignments which encourage them to search for Information. They do Chaining (at the mean value of 4.41) which indicates that before searching for information, they look at the list of books, use the titles of articles, and use keywords. They use Browsing (at the mean value of 4.36) which indicates that they use searching machines, search for information in the tables of content, and search for books on the shelves. They do Differentiating (at the mean value of 4.46) which indicates that they sort references, screen information, and select appropriate literatures. They do Monitoring (at the mean value of 4.4) which indicates that they compare database, participate in literacy training, and read articles and journals regularly. They do Extracting (at the mean value of 4.46) which indicates that they select relevant references, take important aspects from the information, and search information from the most appropriate keywords. They do Verifying (at the mean value of 4.41) which indicates that they recheck the information, cite it, and summarize it. Finally, in the Ending (at the mean value of 4.52) as the last stage of searching for information, they consult their instructors about the information they obtain. It is found that the seniors in the Architecture Study Program, USU, do all the stages of behavior in searching for information proposed by David Ellis
