Indonesia is a country that has diversity from various aspects, such as religion, race, ethnicity, language, culture and many more. This diversity forms the identities of Indonesian society. The conflicts that occur in Indonesian society cannot be separated from the dual identity that each individual has, namely his identity as a Muslim as well as his identity as part of the Indonesian nation (national). This study aims to determine the relationship between Muslim identity and national identity in Indonesian citizens. This study involved 426 respondents where the sampling technique in this study was non-probability sampling. The scale of Muslim identity and national identity was developed based on the theory of Roccas et al, (2008). All data were analyzed with SPSS 26.00. The results of the study show that there is a relationship between muslim identity and national identity, the relationship is positive. This shows that an increase in Muslim identity will increase national identity. However, these results show that there is no harmony with the facts on the ground, there is a conflict between muslim identity and national identity.en_US
