Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) pada USU BINTANG Inventory
Abstract
The USU BINTANG Inventory is an assessment tool used to assess the
character of students at the University of North Sumatra. To provide accurate
measurement results, a psychometric evaluation of the instrument is required. This
study aims to conduct a confirmatory factor analysis on the dimensions in the USU
BINTANG Inventory. Based on the results of the study, it was found that overall,
the items on the USU BINTANG Inventory measuring instrument had valid items.
The B dimension has 38 valid items out of 47 valid items, the IN dimension has 45
valid items out of 51 valid items, and the TANG dimension has 42 valid items out
of 51 valid items as measured using a loading factor of 0.7. Based on the composite
reliability analysis, it was found that many indicators had a coefficient value of 0.7
and an average variance extracted (AVE) value of 0.5. Furthermore, an internalbased
analysis was carried out, which resulted in no indicators having a high
correlation with other indicators or a good fit between models. This result means
that the CFA in the USU BINTANG inventory has a good item validity value but
does not have a good relationship between indicators.
