dc.description.abstractOne of the problems that often occurs in public spaces is how to deal with waste, waste production is increasing with increasing population and community power consumption, impacting on environmental and health problems, to be able to overcome these problems due to waste including good management and true, in accordance with law NO 18 of 2008, concerning waste management has the intention that waste management aims to improve public health and environmental quality and make waste as waste that can be reprocessed according to daily needs, at this time there are still people throwing waste random waste and not according to its type, Based on these problems it is necessary to have organic and inorganic automatic sorting bins, designing smart trash bins to sort between organic and inorganic, using the Arduino Uno microcontroller system using inductive and capacitive sensors proximity, to find the accuracy of reading an object used, to detect the type of waste and then connected to a servo motor as a trash can door controller.en_US
