dc.description.abstract | This research discusses the Relation of Meaning (g/at-taraduf/ 'Synonym' and /at-tadad/ 'Antonym') in surah Al-Furqan and Az-Zumar. The purpose of this study is to find out the meaning relations of synonyms and antonyms contained in surah Al-Furqan and Az-Zumar by using the theory of Arabic semantics proposed by Nur. This research is a library research. The data were collected using the listening method and note-taking technique and using descriptive analysis method. The results of this study indicate that there are 10 synonymous meaning relations, 5 of which are found in surah Al-Furqan, namely synonymous meaning relations contained in the same verse, namely in verses 4, 6, 66, while synonymous meaning relations contained in different verses are in verses 3 and 9, 36 and 39. The other 5 synonymous meaning relations are found in surah Az-Zumar, namely in verses 6, 23, 41, 53, 73. The 3 types of antonyms found in this study are (1) absolute antonym as many as 7 vocabularies, 3 of which are found in surah Al-Furqan, namely in verses 2, 3, 47, and 4 others are found in surah Az-Zumar, namely in verses 5, 26, 32, 46. (2) polar antonyms are 6 vocabularies, 4 of which are found in surah Al- Furqan, namely in verses 3, 53, 55, 70, and the other 2 are found in surah Az-Zumar, namely in verses 35, 45. (3) relationship antonyms are 1 vocabulary found in surah Az-Zumar, namely in verse 16. This research concluded that the dominant type of antonym found is absolute antonym in the word/as-samawati 'sky' and /al-ardi/ earth. | en_US |
