Pengaruh Psychological Capital terhadap Psychological Well-Being Pada Mahasiswa yang Menempuh Skripsi
Abstract
Students have a responsibility to complete their bachelor’s degree. Therefore students must complete their final project called a thesis. But in the process, students often feel stressed caused by internal and external factors. So it is important for a student to have good psychological capital so that students believe in themselves and are able to carry out their responsibilities. Students with good psychological capital will have good psychological well-being as well, so they can adapt to the burdens and demands of working on their thesis. This study aims to examine the effect of psychological capital toward psychological well-being in students taking a thesis. This study used quantitative research methods with accidental sampling as a method of determining samples and the total of the sample is 386 samples. The data collection method uses a Likert scale which consists of the Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PCQ) and Psychological Well-Being scales. The results of the study show that psychological capital positively affects 48.7% on psychological well-being students. The implication is that this research can broaden the information of students who are taking their thesis so that they can be more aware of and understand psychological well-being which contributes to mental well-being, academic achievement, and social relations of students.
