Analisis Struktur Musik Tiga Komposisi Karya Kelompok Suarasama : Lebah, Zapin Rindu, dan Zapin Shirat/Ghazal Ingatan Diri

Abstract

Suarasama is a music group formed by Irwansyah Harahap and Rithaony Hutajulu in 1995 who chose the World Music genre as the principle of presenting their music. The idea of World Music which was applied to Suarasama's music arose when they were studying in America, where in that year many jazz musicians explored the sounds of traditional music in the world. Suarasama has produced many works by World Music, both published and unpublished. The purpose of this research is to analyze the musical structure and to transcribe three compositions by Suarasama. The theory used in this study is the theory put forward by Karl- Edmund Prier SJ in his book entitled "Science of Musical Forms". The results obtained from this study are the analysis and transcription of the three compositions by Suarasama.
