Abstract

This research is about View of North Sumatera University Student towards the Cosplay and Community in Medan City to describe an application about cultural cosplay adaptation that using closed-cloth as accessory such as hijab to do a cosplay by the cosplayer itself, and a view of North Sumatera University students to the cosplay activity and its community on Medan City. The method that used was to observe a cosplay activity, interviewing an executant of the cosplayer itself and distributing questionnaires to invest data form of opinion of North Sumatera University students against cosplay and its community in Medan City. The theory that used is sociology that which to approach to the public, cosplayers and its community. And the next theory that used is phenomenology which used to study about the cultural cosplay adaptation is the cultural phenomenom from Japan, and the last theory used is a slovin formula that it needs to used to proof accuration numbers of the respondents.and the conclusion of this research which the cosplayer that has to used a hijab as an attribute to do a cosplay needs to have high intention, determination and high material to gain the best result and the view of North Sumatera University students that is agreed and hoped to see a cosplay activity shows more progress and gets better.
