Pemandian Alam Sejuk (PAS) di Nagori Mariah Jambi Kecamatan Jawa Maraja Bah Jambi Kabupaten Simalungun (2004-2015)

Abstract

This research is about the Cool Natural Bathing Tourist Destination (PAS) in Nagori Mariah Jambi. The purpose of this research is to explain (1) the background to the establishment of the Cool Natural Bathing Tourism Destination (PAS) in 2004, (2) the development of Cool Natural Bathing from 2004-2015, and (3) the Contribution of Cool Natural Bathing (PAS) Tourism in Nagori Mariah Jambi from 2004-2015. The methods used in this research are heuristics (data collection), critical verification (authenticity of data), interpretation (study of sources), and historiography (historical writing). In collecting data, this research used literature study and field study methods. The library study uses literature in the form of books in the University of North Sumatra library. Field studies were carried out using location observation methods and conducting interviews with resource persons. The research results show that the Sejuk Natural Baths (PAS) in 2004 was the year the PAS tourist destination was opened to the general public and was built by the community and the local government. Previously, this area was a bathing place for the people around Nagori Mariah Jambi. The Cool Natural Bathing Tourist Destination (PAS) in 2015 was officially designated as a tourist attraction by the Simalungun Regency Culture and Tourism Office.
