dc.description.abstract | This research aimed to use Ellis’ theory to examine the information-seeking behavior of Psychology students at Sumatera Utara University. The quantitative descriptive method was employed in this study. Both primary and secondary data were collected through a survey, observation, and literature review. The data analysis process was carried out by collecting respondents’ answers, categorizing data, tabulating data, and presenting results. The results show that the students did some activities within the information-seeking process. It was found that the students went through the process of Starting (85%), Chaining (74%), Browsing (72%), Differentiating (75%), Monitoring (62%), Extracting (75%), Verifying (73%), and Ending (78%). From these results, it is concluded that based on Ellis’ theory, the students’ information-seeking behavior process is complete. | en_US |
