This research was conducted to determine the effect of strict parenting on the psychological well-being of students and to find out the chronology of the respondents' experiences with strict parents. This type of research is a phenomenological qualitative research using data collection methods of interviewing three respondents and data analysis techniques by Miles and Huberman. The results of the study proved that the three respondents were brought up under strict parenting and influenced the psychological well-being of each respondent differently in fulfilling the dimensions of psychological well-being. Respondent 1 fulfills two of the dimensions of psychological well-being, namely environmental mastery and life goals. Respondent 2 fulfills two of the dimensions of psychological well-being, namely life goals and self-development. Respondent 3 did not fulfill all dimensions of psychological well-being. The three respondents were unable to fulfill all dimensions of psychological well-being due to the influence of the parenting style adopted by the respondent's parents.en_US
