Penggunaan Complete Feed Berbasis Limbah Durian (Dureo zibethinus) terhadap Kualitas Karkas dan Non Karkas Domba Jantan Lokal

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country with various kinds of fruits. Durian is a very popular fruit plant in Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia. Consumption of Indonesian durian fruit is relatively high, including the upper and lower classes. Consumption of durian fruit in Indonesia is relatively high, because this fruit is much favored by middle and lower middle class people. The research was carried out in the animal husbandry laboratory at the University of North Sumatra. This study lasted for 12 weeks from November 6 2022 to January 29 2023. The study was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment given was as follows: P0: ration without durian waste, P1: ration with 40% durian waste, P2: ration with 50% durian waste and P3: ration with 60% durian waste. Variables observed included slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and non-carcass weight. The data obtained will be analyzed using variance (Anova). The results showed that giving complete feed based on durian waste had a very significant effect (P0.05).
