    Abstract
This research is a descriptive quantitative research with a total 282 respondents obtained using convenience sampling technique. The criteria of the respondents are the students of Universitas Sumatera Utara from the class of 2022. The aim of this study is to analyze the items of USU BINTANG Inventory scale. The approach used in analyzing the items is the Rasch model approach, which includes reliability analysis through item reliability and person reliability values, validity analysis based on internal structure, analysis of item difficulty indices and individual ability levels, dimensional analysis, person fit analysis, and analysis of the distribution of item difficulty indices and individual ability levels through the Wright map. Baed on the analysis results using Winstep software, the scale obtained an excellent item reliability and an exceptional person reliability value. The validity coefficients, using the criteria of infit and outfit MNSQ values within the range of 0.6-1.4, indicate that 36 out of 39 items are valid. As the results of analysis of individual ability levels, there are 274 respondents demonstrate strong characteristics, while 8 respondents show weak characteristics. The dimensional analysis of the final USU BINTANG Inventory scale indicates that the scale meets 2 out of 3 criteria for udidimensionality, suggesting that it measures what it is intended to measure. The person fit results indicate 79 respondents do not fit the model, and the distribution of data on the Wright map generally shows that individual abilities are above the level of item difficulty.
