Usulan Perbaikan Tata Letak Fasilitas dengan Menggunakan Algoritma Corelap dan Algoritma Differential Evolution pada PT. Industri Invilon Sagita
Abstract
PT. Industri Invilon Sagita is a manufacturing company engaged in the processing
of PVC into final products such as PVC door and PVC pipe. This company has a
general problem such as failure to achieve the annual production target. this
general problem is caused by problems with the facility layout namely there is
backtracking, cross movement and the distance between the departments is too far.
This problem can be solved by improving the facility layout using the CORELAP
algorithm and Differential Evolution algorithm. this study aims to design a facility
layout that can minimize the total moment of movement and material handling
costs, with a line efficiency rate above 75%. The results of the study indicate a
decrease in the total moment of movement from 11.656,58 m/month to 9.166
m/month using the CORELAP algorithm and 10.240,41 m/month using the
Differential Evolution algorithm. Material handling costs also decreased from
Rp.36.975.708/month to Rp. 28.311.226/month using the CORELAP algorithm and
Rp. 30.749.692/month using the Differential Evolution algorithm. By comparing
the total moment of movement and material handling costs int the actual layout, the
CORELAP algorithm layout and the Differential Evolution algorithm layout, the
layout using the CORELAP algorithm is the chosen proposed layout. The Line
Efficiency Rate calculation for the chosen proposed layout is 81,68%, so it can be
said to be an efficient facility layout.
