Identifikasi Kandungan Porcine pada Bahan Splint Periodontal, Bone Graft dan Pack Periodontal dengan Menggunakan Real-Time PCR

Abstract

Indonesia is the country with the largest Muslim population in the world. The halal or haram status of a product is very important for Muslim consumers because it is related to religious claims. Several products in the dental field such as splint periodontal which works to help stabilize loose teeth, bone graft which is used as a filler to facilitate bone growth and pack periodontal. Many surgical dressings come from abroad, so there is no halal label on the product packaging. This is what causes Muslim patients to worry because there may be non-halal ingredients such as porcine. The aim of this research is to determine the presence/absence of content porcine on splint periodontal, bone graft dan pack periodontal use Real-Time PCR This type of researchh is descriptive research with laboratory testing. The sample for this research is one productsplint periodontal, one product bone graft and one product pack periodontal who meet the exclusion and inclusion criteria. This research uses tools in the form of Real-Time PCR by amplifying the DNA in the sample. The results of this study show that there is no Ct value in splint periodontal, bone graft, pack periodontal so it can be concluded that there is no content porcine on these three products.
