Pengasuhan Panti Dalam Mengembalikan Keberfungsian Sosial Anak (Studi Kasus di Panti Asuhan Cinta Kasih Kota Medan)

Abstract

Every child is expected to be able to carry out his life according to his social function properly and correctly. Parenting is important in the life of every child. Foster children who are in orphanages also have the right to get the best care for their lives. A person can be said to be successful in carrying out his social functioning when he is able to carry out his role. The care given to each child will affect the continuity of their social functions. The Cinta Kasih Medan Orphanage is a place for foster children who have lost their ability to carry out their social functions. Caring for caregivers in restoring children's social functioning is the main focus of this research. This research was conducted using a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. This study had 8 informants, consisting of 1 key informant, 5 main informants and 2 additional informants. Data collection techniques were carried out by field studies, namely observation, interviews and documentation as well as literature studies, so that in the end the data obtained was analyzed qualitatively and conclusions were drawn from the research results. The results showed that the care of the Cinta Kasih Medan Orphanage was carried out using parenting programs, namely programs to fulfill children's rights, programs to provide knowledge guidance, and programs to provide protection. All foster children are satisfied with the children's rights they receive. All foster children receive scientific guidance lessons but foster children still need guidance in socializing because some of them feel lacking in terms of interacting and socializing. All foster children receive the same protection by the Medan Cinta Kasih Orphanage. These three programs are carried out side by side so that the orphanage can help foster children restore their social functioning
