Analisis Kegiatan Non Value Added pada PT. XYZ Menggunakan Lean Supply Chain dengan Metode Value Stream Mapping
Abstract
The Manufacturing Industry currently wants to present quality products at affordable prices with efficient and effective processes, one of which is precast concrete. PT. XYZ especially those located on Jln. Medan Binjai is one of them, in order to meet the demand for concrete production, the company is increasing production, one of which is the production of PC Piles Concrete Framework. However, in producing the PC Piles Concrete framework, PT. XYZ implements a make to stock system. this creates a waste of inventory for the PC Piles Concrete frame which also has an impact on piling up the series, and creates waste of inventory at the frame assembly station as well as the reinforcement station. This concrete frame cannot be operated at the next station because it has to wait for the station to be empty. Therefore this research was conducted to identify and eliminate non-value added activities that occur. This study uses a lean approach with the Value Stream Mapping method and is analyzed using the 5W+1H method. Data collection was carried out by calculating the average time for each production activity description and then processing it using Process Activity Mapping tools to obtain non-value added activities. Process Activity Mapping in actual conditions shows non-value added activities such as 3 inspection activities and 6 delay activities. The results of the improved activities showed an increase in the percentage of value added by 16.33%, from 52.63% to 68.98% and a reduction in processing time of 77 minutes, from 695 minutes to 618 minutes.
