Pengaruh Komunikasi Terapeutik Tenaga Medis terhadap Kepuasan Pasien Rawat Jalan di RSU Haji Medan
Abstract
Hospitals have an obligation to provide services that satisfy patients. This study aims to determine the effect of medical personnel therapeutic communication on outpatient satisfaction at RSU Haji Medan. This research is a quantitative descriptivxe research. The population was 2066 and by using the slovin formula, a sample of 95 respondents was obtained spread across 8 polyclinics (geriatrics, pediatric surgery, pediatric neuro, pulmonary, endocrine, dental, ENT, and adult neurology). Data was collected through a literature study, interviews with the Medan Hajj Hospital regarding data collection, and distributing questionnaires to respondents. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistical analysis consisting of (single tab analysis and cross table analysis) and inferential statistical analysis (t test, correlation test, and influence test). The results of the study showed that outpatients at the Medan Haji General Hospital who were respondents stated they were satisfied with the services of the doctor on duty at the Medan Hajj Hospital and the respondents stated that the doctor on duty at the Medan Hajj Hospital had good therapeutic communication with patients. Through hypothesis testing, it was found that the value of the T test was greater than the T table, so Ha was accepted, H0 was rejected so that there was an influence of medical personnel therapeutic communication on outpatient satisfaction at RSU Haji Medan and by using the Pearson correlation test, the relationship between the two variables was strong. Then through testing the coefficient of determination, a value of 37.3% is obtained, which means that the therapeutic communication variable contributes 37.3% to the patient satisfaction variable. While the rest is caused by other factors not examined by this study.
