Studi Eksperimental Pengaruh Jarak Tempuh Roda terhadap Perilaku Keseimbangan Roda Mobil pada Proses Balancing

Abstract

Technological advances that have penetrated the automotive world encourage humans to always study science and technology. Especially on the wheels and tires. The wheel system if not balanced can pose a danger in driving. This experimental study aims to determine the effect of wheel mileage on changes in mass balance in the balancing process, find out the effect of changes in mass balance on the balance of work frequency, know how to overcome imbalances in the car wheel system. Researchers used a balancing machine and a vibration analyzer to analyze the working frequency of the wheel balance at the set parameters. This test used variations of the wheel mileage, namely 0 km, 100 km, 200 km, and 300 km. The result of dynamic equilibrium is that the vibration acceleration is at least 1.2 m/s², the maximum is 5.1 m/s², the vibration speed is at least 1.6 mm/s, the maximum vibration speed is 5.3 mm/s, the minimum vibration displacement is 0.015 mm, the maximum is 0.363 mm. The result of static balance is that the vibration acceleration is at least 1.2 m/s², the maximum is 2.4 m/s², the vibration speed is at least 1.6 mm/s, the maximum vibration speed is 3.3 mm/s, the vibration displacement is at least 0.015 mm, the maximum is 0.028 mm.
