| dc.description.abstract | This research is entitled: Tactical Efforts to Increase Community Income The purpose of this research is to find out the Community Efforts in Increasing Community Income and want to know the opportunities and challenges that exist in developing the Karang Anyer Bathing Place tourism. This research method is carried out with a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation and in-depth interviews using interview guide guidelines, where the author goes directly to the field to obtain deep information from informants. The results of this study show the tourism development strategy of Karang Anyer bathing place Siantar Simalungun where Karang Anyar bathing place tourism is developed by the community chaired by POKDARWIS which will make Karang Anyer bathing place as one of the village's storefronts, by increasing the number of tourists who will provide an increase in business opportunities, and become an economic vortex in the village. Directly these efforts can facilitate the development of trade businesses in the bathing place and provide extensive employment opportunities for the village community, there is also a need for cooperation between business opportunities with private parties who are willing to want to develop tourism for the improvement of the baths. Along with the development of Karang Anyer bathing place, which is characterized by strengthening management and services, there is a direct increase in the number of tourists who come to the Karang Anyer bathing place tourist destination. With the opening of business opportunities, those who open their own businesses such as opening food stalls, renting out parking lots, trading accessories, renting bathrooms and others. The challenge itself is in the form of things that can bring harm to tourism, as regulations that do not provide convenience in business, environmental damage, and so on. Challenges in developing natural tourist attractions Karang Anyer Baths can be seen from the location around the baths which are still dirty and still incomplete facilities in the baths and also awareness.
