Analysis of pyrethroid pesticide residues on citrus plants (Citrus Sp) using a gas chromatograph was carried out at the Hortikutura Food Crops Service, North Sumatra Province. Gas chromatography was equipped with N2, He and H2 carrier gases with a flow rate of 30 mL/min, the column temperature used was 270°C, the injector temperature was 270°C and the detector temperature was 290°C. The results of the analysis have been obtained for oranges originating from the berastagi fruit market, no residual levels of pyrethroid pesticides were found (undetectable) because they did not contain the active ingredient Alpha Cypermethrin and for oranges originating from the kaban ginger fruit market, it was found to be 0.167 mg/kg. It can be concluded that oranges originating from the Brastagi fruit market and the kabanjahe fruit market are safe for consumption by consumers because the content of the Maximum Residue Limit (BMR) of pesticides in oranges complies with and does not exceed the pesticide levels set by SNI 7313:2008en_US
